The artist's  brother, Dante, an artist himself, has always reminded his little sister not to slack off and to keep 'creating' .  When she finally decided to start working on finessing her drawings and eventually sharing her work to others, they brainstormed what the logo and name of the brand would be.  Dante pushed back against several names and told her -                                                                                                                              "You have these naive naturalist drawings, you like to write words that are sometimes not constructed  in full sentences...Your art  reminds me of a grown up My Melody or Little Twin Stars, the stuff you used to collect when we were kids.  That is the brand. YOU are the brand Peews."

Her art is heavily influenced by the natural world, specially intricate figures of marine life & corals, a tribute to the work her husband Andrew has dedicated his life to.  Her love for words and philosophy are also common themes to the art she makes.
